Prince Donovan Shinnock

Donovan Shinnock exists in 1580-1600 or so. Born in Dublin, he emigrated to England to stay with that side of his family, eventually spending time fighting in the Low Countries on the continent as many gentlemen did.

Returning to London, he kept rooms while seeing to his family’s interests in the city and taking up the continued study of fencing at Vincentio Saviolo’s school, to the continued frustration of his friends involved with the London Masters of Defense.

Megha's Arms

Princess Chatricam Meghanta

Chatricam Meghanta (or Megha) was born in Orissa, the former Kingdom of Kalinga. A member of the Kondh tribe, her father became a successful pearl merchant and travelled far along the silk road in the course of his business. Megha got her start by bringing her father’s wares into the zenana of Emperor Akbar at Fatehpur Sikri, selling the finest of pearls to his wives and daughters. After seeing her skills as a diplomat, administrator, warrior, and poet, in 1580 Akbar made her an Ahadi, a member of his personal household troops.

Her name is pronounced CHAT-trick-ham meg-HAN-tah.
